Battery storage that keeps your solar working after dark
Store what your panels make by day, or charge on cheap off-peak rates, and use it when electricity costs the most.
- Use your solar after sunset
- Charge on cheap off-peak rates
- Backup power in a power cut
What a battery does for you
Without a battery, most of what your panels make in the middle of the day goes back to the grid. A battery keeps it for the evening.
-
Your solar, after sunset
Store the surplus from your panels and use it when the sun has gone.
-
Cheap off-peak charging
On a smart tariff, the battery fills up when electricity is cheapest and powers your home when it is dearest, even on grey days.
-
Backup in a power cut
Set up for backup, a battery can keep the essentials running when the grid goes down.
-
Protected from price spikes
The less you buy at peak rates, the less a price rise hurts.
-
Still paid for your surplus
Anything you cannot use or store can still be exported through the Smart Export Guarantee.
-
Compact and modular
Wall or floor mounted, and most can grow as your needs do.

Sized for your home, backed for the long run
The right battery is the one that matches your evenings, not the biggest one available.
We size your battery to how you use power, not to the biggest box we can sell.
-
Added to the solar you have
Most existing systems can take a battery, whoever fitted them. We check your inverter and design around it.
-
Sized from your bills
We look at your evening and overnight use, what your panels export and your tariff, then recommend a capacity.
-
Brands with a track record
We only fit batteries from manufacturers with at least eight years in the market and robust warranties.

Subject to status. Your price depends on your personal quote.
Can I add a battery to my existing solar panels?
Usually, yes, whoever fitted your panels. If you have a hybrid inverter, the battery may connect straight to it. If not, we fit an AC-coupled battery with its own inverter that works alongside the system you have.
We check your inverter and wiring on the survey and design around them.
Will a battery keep my power on in a power cut?
Only if it is set up for it. Many batteries can provide backup power, but it needs the right inverter and wiring, often a separate circuit for essentials like the fridge, lights and router.
Tell us if backup matters to you and we will design it in. Without it, the system switches off in a power cut for safety, just as solar panels do.
How long does a home battery last?
The lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries we fit are built for thousands of charge cycles and typically last 10 to 15 years or more, holding a little less charge as they age.
Warranty length and terms vary by manufacturer. Your quote sets out the warranty for the battery we recommend.
How much space does a battery need?
Less than you might think. A home battery is roughly the size of a slim cabinet and mounts on a wall or stands on the floor, usually in a garage, utility room or under the stairs. Some, like the Sunsynk W5.3, are rated for outdoor fitting.
We find the right spot on the survey, close to your consumer unit and away from direct heat.
What size battery do I need?
It depends on how much electricity you use in the evening and overnight, how much your panels export, and whether you want to charge on a cheap off-peak tariff. We size it from your bills and usage, not a rule of thumb.
